  • 1990-1992 - KAYX - Full-service Adult Contemporary
The earliest known incarnation of KAYX was a Richmond-serving full-service outlet, with adult contemporary music. The FCC granted the KAYX call letters October 18, 1988. KAYX signed on August 1, 1990, owned by Summit Operations (Shelby and Mike Hendee). KAYX aired about 35 hours of news a week, plus two hours of farm programming most days.

    1992-1993 - KAYX - Country "Kix Country"
At some point, KAYX flipped to country music, calling itself Kix country. The station eventually went silent.

    1994-current - KAYX - Sat. Christian (Bott)
Bott Radio bought the station in 1994, returning it to the air as a simulcast of KCCV-FM.
