  • 1967-1982 - KTSB - NBC
Topeka waited a long time for another commercial television station, following WIBW's sign-on in 1953. KTSB signed on December 28, 1967 as an NBC affiliate, with a few ABC programs. Ralph Wilson (Buffalo Bills owner) was the original station owner.

    1982-2009 - KSNT - NBC
George Hatch bought the station in 1982, adding it to the Wichita-based KSN network in Kansas. KSNT simulcasted on a limited basis, but the primary newscasts still originated from Topeka. That agreement ended sometime in the 1980s; now it's entirely local. SJL Communications bought the station in 1990, dismantling the microwave relay with Wichita in the process. Lee Enterprises bought KSNT in 1995, then Emmis bought the station in 2000. In September 2005, Emmis sold the station to Blackstone/SJL. SJL in turn sold to New Vision Television in 2008. KSNT signed off its analog signal June 12, 2009, after four months of operating as the market's "night light" station.

    2002-current - KSNT - NBC
KSNT-DT signed on channel 28 in 2002. The subchannel originally aired CW programming, but with the purchase of KTMJ-CA, that station's programming now airs on 27.2. KSNT-DT moved to 27 in 2009. In 2011, a front company with previous operating agreements with New Vision Television bought rival station KTKA. KTKA moved into KSNT's building July 30, 2011. The two stations began operating as a single newsroom, under the name Kansas First News. LIN TV bought KSNT and KTMJ in 2012. In 2014, Media General announced it would buy all LIN TV properties. KSNT, KTKA and KTMJ rebranded as "KSNT" in 2015.
