  • 1965-2009 - KTWU - PBS
KTWU signed on with educational programming on October 21, 1965, before PBS came into existence. KTWU was the first public television station in Kansas. KTWU produces a few local programs, such as Sunflower Journeys, and Hi-Q. In the analog days, they actively promoted their one translator, K30AL in Iola. I bring this up, because stations with translators rarely announce them more than the required amount. KTWU signed off its analog signal February 17, 2009.

    2003-current - KTWU
KTWU-DT signed on in 2003 on channel 23. It moved to channel 11 in 2009.
